Update
Nathan has completed his hospital treatment.
After nearly nine months in the hospital, the boy was finally able to return home. together with loved ones. At this stage, hospitalization was completed and maintenance treatment has been initiated.
The return brings great joy, but also natural uncertainty. Nathan and his family still have a long road ahead of them, requiring careful observation and patience. As of today, Nathan is feeling well, and his test results remain stable.
Home gives strength. It is there that children most often regain their energy and sense of security. "We wish all the little warriors who are still fighting their battles a safe return home." - says Natan's mother. December 9, 2025Chemotherapy on hold - a stop in treatment
After Natan's last chemotherapy treatment A clot appeared in the Broviac area. It's Complication forced withholding of treatmentto give the body time to regenerate and regain strength. However, the effects of intensive therapy were not limited to this one incident. There were also severe pains in the legs - the so-called neuropathy. Natan is under the care of a physiotherapist, a in the coming days will be placed tapes to relieve pressure on the knee joints, to alleviate his pain and help him with daily mobility. There are only four weeks left of hospital treatment. Now everything depends on the doctors' decision to resume therapy and administer another dose of chemotherapy. It's a time of patient waiting - with the hope that this stop will turn out to be just a short rest on the road to recovery. October 7, 2025
Explore the history of
The pain that had a name
First there were long days of fatigue and leg pain that the child's body could not bear. Then the falling results, getting lower and lower with each test, and finally that March morning at the hospital in Olsztyn, where words heavier than anything the family had known so far were spoken - acute lymphoblastic leukemia with rearranged
Diagnosis without escape
A few days later, on March 17, doctors decided to implant a Broviac vascular port to begin the difficult treatment. Chemotherapy began according to the AIEOP-BFM ALL POLAND 2017 protocol. Natan's condition is today described as good, without metastases, but the road is still long and demanding. On September 11, the boy will enter the next stage - protocol two. Everything is, and will continue to be, going on within the walls of the Regional Children's Specialized Hospital in Olsztyn, where time passes differently - in the rhythm of hospital procedures and constant vigilance.
Daily life filled with struggle
At her son's bedside is his mother, who had to give up her job to be close by during every hour of uncertainty. Dad joins in whenever work allows, sharing responsibilities and care. Natan has two brothers and a sister. The presence of his siblings is his greatest support - and missing them is one of the most difficult experiences of daily life. The family remains strong, although the fear that the disease could return is always in the background.
Hope and the future
Natan dreams of running out on the field with a ball again - of an ordinary childhood, which today has been put on hold. That's why psychological support, rehabilitation and learning, which cannot wait for better days, become so important. This is what the funds from the collection will be used for - so that in addition to the fight for health, there is also space to rebuild strength, develop and return to passion.
