"I believe that the day will come when I will hear that I am healthy."
It has been five years since Natalia's life was cut short by her diagnosis. The last few months have been particularly challenging for her. On June 1, 2025, Natalia received her tenth chemoimmunotherapy infusion, followed by the most important moment in her treatment to date: a bone marrow transplant. Her older sister became the donor, and her decision became one of the most important moments in this struggle."My sister gave me the gift of life. I cannot find the words to express the significance of this gesture."
Complications after transplantation and slow return home
After the transplant, her body had a strong reaction, called "graft-versus-host disease." It showed up as a painful rash and peeling skin. After a few weeks, Natalia left the transplant ward at Cape of Good Hope. Going home was her first real break after months of treatment.Checkups, transfusions, and diagnoses that give hope
Natalia remains under the constant care of specialists in both Wrocław and Nowy Sącz. Her health is checked every two weeks. She still hasn't regained normal blood parameters, so she needs regular platelet and whole blood transfusions. Recently, a bone marrow puncture was performed, which brought the first real relief. The bone marrow is not damaged and shows no signs of fibrosis. It's working slowly, but in the right direction. Natalia has been approved for treatment with Revolade, a drug designed to aid recovery and accelerate regeneration.Longing for everyday life
Due to her weakened immune system, Natalia continues to study remotely."I miss normality. Everything that used to be a natural part of life," he confesses.

Hey I'm Natalia and at the age of 12 I was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma.
At that moment, my life changed forever. And I knew that nothing would ever again be as simple as it once was. I underwent intensive treatment at the Mother and Child Institute in Warsaw; 13 chemotherapy infusions, stem cell harvesting, radiation therapy, a stem cell autologous transplant and 5 immunotherapy infusions.
It was a very difficult time for both me and my loved ones. However, I knew that I could not give up. And finally came the moment when I found out that I had beaten the disease-I remember this time very well-May 2022. From then on, I lived life to the fullest and enjoyed it like any teenager. There was no indication that my life would turn upside down again. However, before my dream vacation, I felt that something was wrong, and in September 2024, I again heard what I feared most-an illness.
It was another one of the worst moments of my life. I knew that the fight started all over again... But again I know that I can do it and I will overcome this terrible disease! I am currently after my 5th infusion of chemoimmunotherapy. And I am waiting for further information about my condition and treatment plan. My family, friends and doctors are helping me to overcome the disease. Thank you in advance!
