The treatment was difficult and intensive. It ended with a bone marrow transplant - and the donor was her younger brother Alan.
For three years Natalia was able to enjoy the life of a healthy teenager. There was no indication that the disease would relapse in February 2024. This time the treatment was shorter, but more difficult and intensive. On 13.06.2024 Natalka underwent a second bone marrow transplant-this time from an unrelated donor.
Despite better test results, Natalka is under constant monitoring by doctors and is still undergoing treatment. She needs drug therapy and rehabilitation therapy, which are needed to return to normal daily life.
Natalka loves dogs, especially her dream dog Daisy-which she got after her first bone marrow transplant. She also loves reading, traveling, rollerblading and biking. However, she most enjoys spending time with her parents, siblings and her dog. She is very creative, which she uses to create various albums.
Despite adversity, Natalka does not lose her cheerfulness. Frequent visits to Cape Hope come at a high cost.
