Update
In June, doctors were sure that Milosz needed a bone marrow transplant. A donor was found rather quickly and the intensive preparation of the brave teenager's body for the difficult procedure began. After leaving the OWN, Milosz and his mother were transferred to Hematology Ward I, where he was connected to a pump that administered Blincyto. A month later came the long-awaited "vacation," a few days at home, after which intensive preparation for the transplant began. On September 12, doctors transplanted Milosz's bone marrow. This marked the most difficult time for the brave teenager and his mother. Complete confinement in a hospital room in the transplant unit. This lasted four weeks. During this difficult time, only Milosz's mom was allowed to leave the room and bring food. In mid-October, doctors decided to open the room and move Milosz to the post-transplant ward. Since then, every day has been a wait for test results. Today it is almost certain that our Warrior and Superhero in one person and his mother will be able to go home soon. And now it's high time for them to get help to return to a relatively normal life, that is, to adapt again to home conditions, almost forgotten after a six-month stay at the "Cape of Hope". Many conditions must be met for Milosz's return to "normality" to be safe. Many expenses await his mother. Let's help them return to "normalcy". October 22, 2024
Explore the history of
After two years of intensive treatment, the stage came for maintenance chemotherapy and follow-up visits to "Cape of Hope."
The brave teenager was able to slowly return to his passions: raising ornamental fowl, fishing, meeting friends and freely breathing freedom.
For the 15-year-old, the sun was beginning to shine again - literally and figuratively. He was getting ready for an "eighteenth" party organized by friends, and was planning to buy ornamental pheasants and build a large, comfortable aviary for them. We all know the saying: "you want to make the gods laugh, tell them about your plans". In the case of Milosz, it turned out to be a prophecy....
In May 2024, during another visit to the "Cape of Hope," he heard about a suspected recurrence. Tests unfortunately confirmed these fears - the leukemia had returned.
Milosz's world has once again "shrunk" to the size of a small hospital room in an intensive care unit. The chemotherapy pump has again been hooked up to his body. There is a high probability that a bone marrow transplant will be necessary. For now, all of this Warrior's plans must wait. Meeting friends is not advisable now, and pursuing passions has returned to the realm of dreams.
However, the brave teenager is not laying down his arms! He has a tremendous will to fight and reiterates that he wants to beat the disease again.
Let's help Milosz and his family in this difficult time. Every support, however small, brings the 15-year-old closer to the coveted victory.
