Update
In the shadow of illness
Maria is currently undergoing chemotherapy. This was a phase that proved to be particularly taxing on her body. The persistent pain won't go away and makes even the simplest tasks require an effort that is becoming increasingly difficult to muster.Weakness and pain make it difficult to eat normally, which further worsens her overall condition. You can see the fatigue in Maria’s eyes. But alongside it, there is also a quiet determination to keep going, no matter what. March 26, 2026

Diagnosis
Malignant tumor of the uterine body. In September, these words suddenly and without warning changed Maria's everyday life, bringing with them anxiety, fear, and questions to which there were no immediate answers.
On September 19, 2025, almost immediately after the diagnosis, a curettage procedure was performed. That's when the difficult journey of treatment began. Decisions are made quickly, procedures follow one another without a moment's respite, and time becomes priceless. Here, every day counts.
On October 31, Maria underwent extensive surgery to remove her uterus and lymph nodes. The procedure was necessary to stop the progression of the disease and pave the way for further treatment.
After the surgery came a period of pain, weakness, and convalescence, which requires not only physical strength but also tremendous mental resilience.
This is not the end of the treatment
After Christmas, Maria is to begin the next stage of her treatment. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy will become part of her daily routine. This treatment is physically demanding, requiring regular travel, medication, and constant medical supervision.
The fight against cancer does not stop in hospital wards. It changes your entire reality, affecting every sphere of your life. As a result of her illness, Maria lost her job and, with it, the sense of stability that her professional life gave her.
Financial uncertainty adds another layer of anxiety to the already difficult emotions she has to deal with. It is difficult to cut yourself off from your obligations and everyday matters when your energy is focused on treatment.
Her family, who are with her every step of the way, accompany her on this journey with care and hope. They want to give her support and strength, even though they too are afraid. Illness does not affect just one person. Its burden is shared by all loved ones, changing the lives of the entire family.
This period of preparation for intensive cancer treatment is a time when support, including psychological support, is particularly important in helping to overcome fear and find one's place in a new reality.
Maria's fight is just beginning. Together, we can help her prepare for this stage by giving her at least a little peace of mind in the financial sphere. This support will cover the costs of therapy and allow Maria to focus on her treatment and recovery.
