The body cried out for help

In 2024, Linda began to experience increased bleeding, abdominal pain, weakness, and tension, which sapped her strength. These symptoms required immediate diagnosis. Subsequent tests determined that the cause was cervical cancer. The results of the histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis: G3 squamous cell carcinoma, HPV-dependent. The moment she heard the diagnosis marked the beginning of a journey filled with fear, uncertainty, and questions about the future.

Demanding treatment

After diagnosis, treatment requiring precision and constant supervision was implemented.

Surgery was necessary to remove the cancerous lesions, including reconstruction of the cervix.

Next, six cycles of intensive therapy involving paclitaxel, cisplatin, bevacizumab, and pembrolizumab were started. This treatment puts a heavy strain on the body, and each subsequent cycle is associated with increasing fatigue and numerous side effects.

Comorbidities and physical strain

Linda also struggles with hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, and type 1 neurofibromatosis.
The coexistence of these diseases increases the effort she must put into surviving each cycle of chemotherapy and increases the risk of complications. Her days are divided between time spent at home and regular hospital visits every three weeks, where she receives subsequent infusions.

Everyday life during a life crisis

Linda is in the process of getting divorced, and most of the responsibilities now rest solely on her and her daughter. The change in her family situation also meant losing her job, which further exacerbated her financial difficulties. She is registered with the employment office, but is not entitled to benefits. The amount of child support covers only a fraction of her expenses.

The hardest days are those when you don't have the strength to get out of bed and face everyday life. Linda is just learning to take care of herself in a life where, for years, she was the last person she thought about.
Rediscover yourself

Before her illness compounded other difficulties, Linda loved to create: cooking, caring for her home, restoring furniture, painting, and decorating her surroundings. She still dreams of returning to these activities and seeing the places whose beauty has always attracted her. These dreams are on hold today, but they have never disappeared.

Why help is needed

Cancer treatment is extremely expensive. Medication, rehabilitation, psychological support, specialist consultations.
Facing treatment alone makes these expenses almost impossible to bear without outside help. Your support will allow Linda to continue her treatment without fear for tomorrow and focus on fighting for her health.

Fate presented Linda with challenges that were impossible to bear alone.

Every day requires strength she didn't know she had. The help she receives is a quiet reminder that no one has to go through suffering alone.
