Increasing headache, nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite. our charge has become very lethargic.

Such symptoms worried the parents, an appointment was made with the family doctor, who immediately diagnosed a neurological problem; the boy had trouble keeping his balance and was not following his finger with his eyes.

The family doctor gave a referral to a hospital in Koszalin, but no abnormalities were found there. Only after returning to the family doctor and his intervention in the hospital were detailed examinations done, including an MRI scan, the result of which came as a shock a tumor was detected in his head, which was 3.5x5cm!
Grzegorz was immediately transported by helicopter to a hospital in Szczecin to the neurosurgery department.

Surgery was performed to remove the tumor, samples were taken for histopathological examination, the result of which confirmed that Gregory was facing a malignant tumor - medulloblastoma.

After the operation, complications arose in the form of hydrocephalus, and it became necessary to frequently check the spinal fluid and implant valves that regulate intracranial pressure.

The next stage of treatment was chemotherapy, which was scheduled for 4 cycles, followed by radiation therapy and maintenance chemotherapy.

After that, our protégé will have to undergo a long rehabilitation to help return to as much fitness as possible.
