Initially, a family doctor was reported, who recommended ointments and painkillers.

However, due to the lack of improvement, at the next visit the girl's mother asked for a referral for more detailed tests.

The next step was a visit to the emergency room in Zabrze, where the patient was admitted to the pediatric ward. She spent several days there, during which attempts were made to determine the cause of her complaints. Two attempts were made to perform an MRI scan - the first attempt failed due to severe pain, which prevented the test. It was only successfully performed the second time, under anesthesia. The result of the MRI showed the presence of a tumor in the pelvic region.

Further diagnostics, including a biopsy performed, brought a devastating diagnosis - Ewing's Sarcoma. Until the diagnosis was made, our charge stayed in a clinic in Zabrze. She was then referred to the Mother and Child Institute in Warsaw, where some tests were repeated. It turned out that the cancer had managed to give metastasis to the lungs.

Intensive treatment including chemotherapy and then radiation therapy was soon started. The therapy brought positive results - the tumors shrank significantly. At the end of 2024, Djesika also underwent an autologous stem cell transplant in Wroclaw, Poland.

The next stage of treatment will be maintenance chemotherapy in pill form. The length of its use will depend on the results of ongoing follow-up tests.

The funds raised during the collection will be used to cover the cost of treatment, travel to the clinic in Warsaw, intensive rehabilitation, as well as to ensure proper diet and supplementation. The funds will also enable her to benefit from private visits to specialists.
