A strong body that suddenly gave up

In mid-March, David began experiencing alarming symptoms: enlarged lymph nodes in the left clavicle area, severe weakness, night sweats, itchy skin and a constantly elevated body temperature. Shortly thereafter , shortness of breath joined in. Investigations revealed that their source was a tumor in the mediastinum, pressing on the trachea and taking away breathing freedom. The diagnostics that began led to a dramatic diagnosis - lymphoma. A cancer that attacks the body, takes away strength and turns everyday life into a constant struggle.

Chemistry, research and every day on trial

On May 5, Dawid underwent a biopsy. Since then, his life has been in a rhythm set by cycles of chemotherapy. He is already past the third cycle given on the R-CHOP regimen, in combination with GOLKADOMID or placebo, as part of his participation in a clinical trial.

The body is responding quite well, but fatigue, anemia, neutropenia and pervasive weakness remain daily adversaries. David tries to function as before, but his lack of strength and inability to work become a challenge every day.

It's not just treatment that costs money

Illness involves huge expenses - both for treatment and for ordinary life. Rent, bills, transportation, essential purchases. When one cannot work, each of these costs becomes a cause for anxiety and an additional burden that is difficult to forget.

A man full of passion and ambition

Before illness stopped his plans, David was full of energy. Gym, mountains, jogging, climbing, computer games, and a passion for taxes, leasing, making preserves and reading books. He lived intensely, according to his own rules. Today his only dream is to return to that life - full of passion and ordinary joy.
