Inspection at Cape of Good Hope
David, who recently turned 16, is currently undergoing follow-up examinations at Cape of Good Hope. Such visits are a natural and indispensable stage after completing cancer treatment. Regular health monitoring allows for early detection of any abnormalities.Everyday life with complications
Dawid stays at home every day, but he is still dealing with the consequences of intensive therapy. He was diagnosed with Osteopenia, a condition that leads to a decrease in bone mineral density, requires systematic supportive treatment. and ongoing care at a bone metabolism clinic.David also remains under the supervision of an endocrinologist and cardiologist due to persistent hypertension. Every six to seven weeks returns to Cape of Good Hope for immunoglobulin testing, which are a permanent part of his therapy. The consequences of cancer treatment also require regular dental care.
Recovery time
This is a stage of gradual recovery after months of treatment. Dawid's body is still regenerating. Every consultation, every test, and every follow-up visit is part of the recovery process. It is a slow but steady return to stability and strength, allowing him to move forward with increasing peace of mind. October 24, 2025 David is fighting for his life. A huge number of side effects are disrupting his treatment❗ David continues his very complicated and demanding fight for recovery. At this stage of treatment, the prognosis is uncertain due to the short observation period. The leukemia our Warrior is facing is classified as a high-risk disease, which is associated with numerous complications and side effects of treatment. The situation is not made any easier by a long list of comorbidities, which significantly hinder and sometimes even inhibit treatment. In addition to his uneven battle with cancer, our Warrior also faces toxic organ damage, osteoporosis, hormonal disorders, secondary immunodeficiency, pulmonary mycosis, a stoma, gallstones (after removal), hypertension, and recently also pyogenic soft tissue inflammation with septic shock. Such a wide range of health problems requires very careful observation and multidisciplinary care. Regular trips to the hospital in Wrocław, many miles away from Dawid's home, not only require a lot of time, but also mercilessly drain the household budget of the boy's single mother. They have to go for check-ups at least once a month, and private consultations with specialists place an additional financial burden on the family. However, they do not have much choice, as the waiting time for appointments is really long and often the earliest available dates are many months ahead. Dawid and his loving mother really need our support. In addition to the above-mentioned costs of travel and specialist visits, Dawid needs, among other things, the necessary ostomy accessories, which enable him to function relatively normally. Let's help this brave family get through this extremely challenging period by joining forces! March 25, 2024

Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is a disease that our Hero had to fight.
The treatment was very hard and had many complications. There were times when the boy was in serious condition, going through painful treatments and weeks of hospital stays.
However, all this time he did not lose faith in his recovery and will to fight!
After more than two years, after heavy treatment, the disease was defeated. Unfortunately, such a state did not last long. In May 2022, our Warrior again went to the ward where a relapse was diagnosed. David once again has to face acute lymphoblastic leukemia type B, mixed "myeloid-nuclear" drug-resistant.
The beginning of the fight against the recurrence was unfortunately not very optimistic, and much of the bone marrow was still involved. Just like the first time, the treatment is associated with numerous complications, painful treatments, pancreatitis appeared, fungal inflammation of the lungs, which he still struggles with today.
Consultations were held toward the use of CAR-T cell therapy. The therapy was successful in October 2022.
After exhaustive clinical treatment, Dawid is slowly recovering. Immunoglobulin supplementation is necessary every 4 weeks. He has to undergo check-ups very often. Our Warrior is also constantly fighting lung fungus and hypertension. He will soon begin rehabilitation, which will help him get back into shape.
Despite the intractable situation, we hope that David is already on the last straight to fight for recovery!
