The interrupted rhythm of childhood
Until recently, Bruno's world was filled with fun, laughter and joyful dancing. This daily routine was interrupted by a seemingly ordinary infection, which at first seemed nothing dangerous. However, when the fever, instead of subsiding, persisted stubbornly, there was anxiety in the hearts of the parents, which eventually forced the decision to hospitalize him.
Staying in the hospital brought a sense of relief. The care of the doctors gave a sense of security while bringing hope that after a few days of observation and routine examinations, any moment now everything would be back on track. Fate, however, wrote a different scenario. Blood results revealed alarming changes that led to a shocking diagnosis - acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In an instant, the entire family's life changed its rhythm. Suddenly everything was subordinated to treatment, which from then on became a daily routine filled with vigilance and care.
Treatment requires strength
Bruno underwent the first stage of treatment in Zielona Gora, from where he was later transported to the "Cape of Hope" in Wroclaw. It was there that immunotherapy was implemented, a modern and demanding method of treatment, but one that offers a chance for permanent remission of the disease.
The therapy is long-lasting and extremely taxing on the body, but for the parents it is the only way to restore their son's health and carefree life.
His parents accompany him every step of the way. They have temporarily moved to Wroclaw, away from the family home, to watch by his side constantly. Every day involves the logistics of treatment, subsequent check-ups, commuting, and the need to cover the cost of medication, which is not always reimbursed.
Then there are the expenses of living away from home, specialized food and care products.

The ongoing treatment is not only a huge emotional and financial effort. Bruno's parents, fighting for their son's health, balance each day between hope and concern for tomorrow.
