Imaging diagnostics
In recent weeks, Beata has begun a series of MRI scans. Once they are completed, it will be necessary to wait for the results, which will indicate the further direction of treatment. This time full of uncertainty is extremely difficult for her, as her symptoms are not going away, and the continuation of treatment depends on doctors' decisions based on further analysis.![]()
New diagnosis and the need for more procedures
Beata has been under constant urological care since early October. A cystoscopy performed showed the presence of disseminated bladder cancer, requiring a biopsy under general anesthesia through access through the abdominal shell. An appointment with an anesthesiologist has now been set for December 12, while admission to the ward is scheduled for December 16.Next consultation only in 2026
There will be an ENT consultation in January 2026, preceded by steroid treatment to maintain possible stability until surgery. At the same time, an appointment with a hepatologist has been set only for April 2026. Due to a very difficult financial situation, Beata does not have access to private consultations, which further prolongs the diagnostic and therapeutic process.Diagnostics in progress
After the planned vocal cord surgery, doctors will begin expanded diagnostics on the pancreas and colon. These are the next steps in the procedure, which must follow a set sequence and require a multi-level analysis of the results before appropriate treatment can be introduced.Daily life marked by illness
Beata's self-perception remains very poor, and the months-long wait, worrisome test results, and deteriorating health compound the daily stress. The disease takes away her mental and physical stability making even simple activities demanding and taxing. November 27, 2025Health under the weight of more diseases
Beata's health has been severely strained. In addition to the main disease - cervical cancer - further diagnoses began to appear, putting a strain on her body and daily life. Tests revealed an adrenal tumor, a suspected bladder tumor and a lesion in the duodenum that requires further observation. On top of that, there are problems with the digestive system, i.e. gastritis, erosions and inflammatory bowel disease, as well as kidney failure and the need for a full liver diagnosis.Operation in the shadow of silence
Beata is facing ENT surgery to remove the cyst and try to regain her voice. The risk of total loss, however, is enormous, reaching as high as 95%. If the surgery is successful, it will only be the beginning of a long road - months of rehabilitation combined with learning to speak again. Even if the voice is preserved, strenuous and demanding therapy will be necessary. The burden of expectation
Each of these diagnoses requires further tests and consultations, and the appointments at the clinics are very far away. This constant waiting in uncertainty takes away strength and hope. Physical exhaustion combines with mental exhaustion. More illnesses, difficulties and the lack of clear answers make everyday life more and more difficult to bear. October 1, 2025

"Emotionally I'm at my limit. For years I was a strong person, today the weight of everyday life overwhelms me..."
In these words you can hear the whole truth about the weariness, pain and helplessness that have become Beata's daily life.
The body spoke in pain
In April 2023, Beata was experiencing increasingly frequent abdominal pains, which were so severe that they excluded her more and more from daily life with each passing day. A visit to the gynecologist and histopathology results brought a dramatic answer - stage III low-differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix.
Subsequent tests added to the anxiety, showing the extent of the tumor and infiltration that ruled out surgery. The only way left was radiation therapy, chemotherapy and brachytherapy, designed to stop the progression of the disease, at least for a while.
Struggle at Poznań oncology center
Beata went from the Konin hospital to the Wielkopolska Oncology Center in Poznan. There she underwent 25 fractions of radiation therapy, four brachytherapy treatments, ten sessions of hyperthermia and four cycles of chemotherapy, interrupted due to deteriorating blood results. Each day in the hospital was a test of strength, but also a source of hope that the treatment would work. The progression of the disease was successfully halted, but the complications remained. Muscle pain, intestinal pain, damaged bone structures are daily reminders of the disease.
Suspected recurrence
In September 2025, epigastric and lower abdominal pain returned. Doctors unfortunately suspect metastasis or recurrence. Beata is undergoing diagnostics, and waiting for the results once again fills her daily life with fear and uncertainty about tomorrow.
Loneliness and overwhelming daily life
Beata has been raising her two sons alone for nineteen years. Today she lives with the older one, who has become her daily support in the face of illness. He himself knows well what fear and uncertainty are - he has just been diagnosed with a pituitary tumor, an adenoma. Keeping each other's spirits up has become their only pillar in a daily life that has taken such an unexpectedly dramatic turn.
Once economically active, Beata is now unable to work. With a severe degree of disability, she subsists on a permanent allowance and attendance allowance - a total of just 1,300 zlotys a month. It's a sum that's not enough either for medicines, travel to doctors or basic living. Apart from her sons, no one is left by her side - relatives and family have passed away, leaving her to struggle alone.
