Unfortunately, the results were surprising and frightening at the same time - the diagnosis was breast cancer.
This was a huge surprise, as Anna never imagined that this could affect her - a healthy and active woman.
Since then, her life has changed dramatically. In May 2023, she underwent a mastectomy, and histopathological tests revealed the presence of cancer cells in a lymph node. She began further intensive treatment, which is scheduled for at least five years. She faces another surgery in December 2023. Anna is bravely facing the side effects of the treatment, both physically and mentally. However, she has a long road ahead of her, full of challenges, including financial ones. The cost of treatment, unreimbursed cancer cell monitoring procedures, ongoing rehabilitation and psychological support are enormous.
That's why we are asking for your support, and any help matters. We understand that asking for financial support can be difficult, but we believe in the power of the community, in people who are empathetic and ready to help.
