One image. Four changes. And a life that trembled

In the fall of 2024, Anna received a call from the gynecology clinic. The cytology result was worrisome, although, as it turned out, it did not indicate cancerous changes. Treatment of the diagnosed inflammation was recommended. By the way, the doctor suggested a follow-up breast ultrasound.
Anna had been examining herself regularly. She had had a previous ultrasound only a few months earlier, so the idea of another one seemed unnecessary. Eventually, just to be safe and prudent, she decided to perform the test. Four lesions became apparent in her right breast. On imaging they looked harmless - adenocarcinomas - nothing serious. Despite reassuring assurances, Anna did not ignore the test result.

Diagnosis closed the door of "normal" life

A referral to a surgeon-oncologist, an ordered biopsy and a result that clouded the peace of mind. In the material taken for examination, cancer cells were found.
In March 2025, Ania ended up on the operating table.

The disease did not wait. The cancer had already managed to attack the lymph node under the armpit. The transmitted diagnosis was unequivocal: cancer of the right breast, stage II, hormone-dependent. The long road through treatment began.

The chemotherapy Ania is currently receiving is just the beginning. In the plan - radiation therapy and long-term hormone therapy, scheduled for up to seven years. In the background of this battle - another concern. The gynecological examination revealed cervical dysplasia. Another shadow that will have to be tamed.

Three reasons to keep fighting

Anna has her own three-person universe. Three little sons who wait every day for their mother to come home healthy.
This scenario was not written by herself. After all, no one plans such chapters. Still, she believes in a story that will find a happy ending - and in a future where she can support other women facing a similar diagnosis. Today, however, she is the one who needs support.
