The first signs that could not be ignored
In mid-November, Anielka's parents noticed some worrying changes. She became constipated, her abdomen became noticeably distended on the right side, and everyday activities such as changing her diaper caused her to cry and appear clearly uncomfortable.
What initially seemed like temporary infant ailments quickly began to cause serious concern. The symptoms persisted, so further diagnosis was necessary.
Diagnosis
Tests revealed hepatoblastoma, a malignant liver tumor in infants. On December 3, 2025, at the Lower Silesian Specialist Hospital in Wrocław , a biopsy of the tumor, approximately 10 centimeters in diameter, was performed, which clearly confirmed the diagnosis . It was at that moment that the entire family's life suddenly changed direction, and their only goal became fighting for the life of their eight-month-old child.
Treatment and complications
Anielka began therapy according to the C5VD regimen. Each cycle lasts three weeks, and six stages of treatment are planned. Initially, her body responded well, which allowed for a short break and discharge home on December 23.
Unfortunately, two days later, Anielka's condition deteriorated rapidly. A high fever that did not subside despite treatment, vomiting, and diarrhea turned out to be the result of an infection in the chemotherapy port. It was necessary to remove it urgently and perform a central puncture to prevent the development of sepsis.
Life between home and hospital
Mom is staying with Anielka in the hospital in Wrocław. Dad commutes every day, organizing shopping and formal matters. The grandparents have taken care of the girl's three-and-a-half-year-old brother, who is still too young to understand the gravity of the situation, but misses his mom and sister every day and waits for them to return. The family is separated, more than 200 kilometers from home, trying to maintain a semblance of normality in a reality full of uncertainty and fear.

The fundraiser is intended to help cover the costs of non-reimbursable medications, rehabilitation, medical care, and transportation related to treatment far from home. Without financial support, this struggle is becoming increasingly difficult for the family with each passing week.
