Update
The treatment that was supposed to sustain him almost took his life.
Targeted chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy was completed on September 30, 2025. Instead of eight infusions, six were administered because the body was already extremely weakened. and was unable to undergo the full treatment regimen. Nevertheless, imaging tests gave cause for cautious hope. The tumors were shrinking, and the disease was at a stage of possible regression.![]()
Immunotherapy and the tipping point
After completing chemotherapy, maintenance immunotherapy was implemented. First infusion, announced on October 24, made me feel very unwell, which was a warning sign. Three weeks later, another one was administered. That's when the line between life and death became dramatically thin.
If it hadn't been for the vigilance of the medical team during the administration of the drug, that day could have ended tragically. Immunotherapy led to severe, direct life-threatening complications. The body under the pressure of treatment
Immunological treatment caused destruction of the thyroid gland. Hypothyroidism developed in the course of Hashimoto's disease, as well as adrenal insufficiency, or Addison's disease. This was accompanied by diabetes and severe neuropathy.
His general condition deteriorated rapidly. The effects of previous chemotherapy treatment have been largely lost. According to doctors' estimates, the body's efficiency has decreased by about forty percent. The next stage of the fight
Treatment is now entering a new and extremely difficult phase. Palliative radiation therapy begins. A return to chemotherapy is scheduled for February 5.
This is yet another chapter in a battle that continues unabated and consumes the last of our strength. Each subsequent stage brings new burdens, new risks, and the need for further intensive medical care.
This update is a record of the moment whenThe body has been pushed to its limits. and yet The fight must go on.January 20, 2026

Long road to recognition
It started inconspicuously - with menstruation, which did not want to stop. Then came hemorrhaging, pain and fever. There were consultations, medications and returns to the doctor. In the meantime, a trip to work abroad. She made the decision out of necessity, thinking about the children, the need to support them - to educate them. The body rebelled against the imposed effort. It simply could not stand it. Despite growing pain, swelling and constant fatigue, Angelika continued to work. Her return to Poland brought more questions than answers. The pain was increasing and the fever was not going away. More tests, an ED and a referral to the gynecology ward. There the diagnosis was made. Cancer - malignant and inoperable.
Treatment and further obstacles
It was necessary to change the center, more tests and consiliums. During this time, lymph node metastasis appeared. Targeted chemotherapy was started, followed by immunotherapy. All this is happening in the shadow of severe weakness, pain and constant uncertainty. Angelika is unable to take a job. She is raising her children alone. The treatment is difficult, long and taxing - both physically and mentally. Every day is another challenge, but also another hope.
There are children waiting at home
It is the children who are the source of her strength. It is for them that Angelika goes through every stage of treatment. Despite exhaustion, anxiety and pain, she does not give up. She wants to return to everyday life and ordinary moments. However, the road to this goal requires tremendous support. The cost of treatment, travel, medical care and specialized examinations exceeds the capabilities of a single mom.
