Update

The next important stage of therapy
Sebastian underwent four rounds of chemotherapy, and on March 12 he received an autologous stem cell transplant. This is a very important stage of treatment that offers the chance of remission and a return to normal life. We still have a period of recovery, further treatment, and regular check-ups ahead of us. We still need your support to provide Sebastian with all the medications and supplies he needs to recover from his transplant. Thank you for any help you can provide—Sebastian’s family March 31, 2026

Diagnosis hidden in routine results

In July 2025, growing fatigue prompted Sebastian to undergo routine tests. What was supposed to be a mere formality yielded an alarming result in the form of the presence of protein in the urine. Further diagnostics were ordered, more and more detailed and increasingly alarming in the results coming down. A bone and marrow biopsy left no more illusions and led directly to the diagnosis: multiple myeloma.

He underwent a biopsy and began chemotherapy. Ahead of him are preparations for autologous transplantation

The disease is insidious, attacking the bone marrow, which, step by step, devastates the body, taking away strength and leading to dangerous complications.

First stage of treatment

Less than a month after the first symptoms appeared, Sebastian began his first cycle of chemotherapy. Subsequent doses of chemotherapy administered periodically in a Torun hospital are preparing the body for the next stage - autologous transplantation.

It's a difficult and risky procedure that requires tremendous strength, but nevertheless offers a chance to prolong life and stop the disease. Along with the hope offered by the treatment comes its burden - damaged kidneys and the weakening of an exhausted body require even greater strength.

Life between home and hospital

Sebastian lives with his wife and five-year-old son. He is currently unable to work, and the restrictions of treatment and the risk of infection lock him within the confines of his home and hospital walls. Every trip to chemotherapy is another expense and another effort. The family's daily life is dominated by bills, drug costs and fear for the future.

Fatherhood despite illness

Sebastian's greatest desire is for his son to be able to live without the burden of his father's illness. He desires to give him a sense of security, to play, to talk, to be present. It is for him that he takes every step in treatment, so that the future is not interrupted too soon.

Need for support

Funds from the collection will be used for medication, transportation to the hospital and hygiene products. The help is essential so that Sebastian can focus on his fight against the disease and his family is not overwhelmed by the costs, which are increasing every week.

Every support is a step towards a father's continued presence in his son's life.

I believe that everything will work out and your husband Monia will beat this damn disease💪...I would write something worse, but they would delete it... Keeping my fingers crossed is the wrong expression, I have high hopes, which is probably more appropriate. Best regards🫡
