Your 1.5% allows us to direct aid exactly where it is needed immediately.
At the Cancer Fighters Foundation, we support people whose lives have been changed by cancer every day. We accompany families who suddenly have to face diagnosis, treatment costs, and uncertainty about tomorrow.
As a nationwide public benefit organization (OPP), we help patients of all ages, as well as their loved ones, because cancer affects entire families. We provide financial and organizational support so that no one has to face the disease alone.
Every day, we provide social assistance, reimburse medical and rehabilitation costs, manage sub-accounts and fundraisers, and help with paperwork. Our oncology assistants accompany families in their most difficult decisions and guide them through a system that is often overwhelming.
It's not always easy, but thanks to you I know I'm not alone. Thank you for being with us in our small - big fight.

Tax 1.5% - knowledge center
If you are wondering how to donate 1.5% of your tax to a public benefit organization – the Cancer Fighters Foundation – simply enter the KRS number 0000581036 in the appropriate section of your PIT tax return. The Tax Office will automatically calculate the amount and transfer it to our activities. You don't pay a single extra dollar. You simply decide who you want to entrust with part of the tax that you pay to the state anyway.
If you need information on how to set up a KRS account for a cancer patient in the context of a sub-account in a foundation, our coordinators will guide you through the process. For many families, the funds obtained from the 1.5% tax become an opportunity to receive the necessary treatment. They take on a value that cannot be overestimated. It is a small gesture that means a lot to our patients. Sometimes it changes a day, sometimes a therapy, and sometimes a whole life.
Donating 1.5% is a way to provide real support to children struggling with cancer without incurring any costs. In practice, this involves indicating the Foundation's KRS number in your annual tax return. The entire operation is carried out automatically by the tax office — it calculates 1.5% of your tax and transfers it to the Foundation's account. You do not pay a single extra dollar, you simply decide where some of the money you are already giving to the state will go.
No, transferring 1.5% does not generate any fees or obligations other than entering the Foundation's KRS number in the appropriate field of the tax return. You do not incur any costs or risks—the funds do not come from your pocket, but from the tax due to the state. The entire operation is completely safe, simple, and takes literally a moment. All calculations and transfers of funds are made by the tax office on the basis of your tax return.
Yes, even if you use the PIT-40A or PIT-11A tax return form provided by your employer or the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), you can still support the Cancer Fighters Foundation. All you need to do is submit a short PIT-OP form, also available online on the e-Urząd Skarbowy platform. It takes 1-2 minutes to complete this form and allows you to indicate the Foundation's KRS number regardless of whether your tax return is prepared by your employer.
Of course. If you realize later that you forgot to indicate the Foundation or want to change the previously entered organization, you can submit a correction to your declaration. The correction should be approved within the statutory deadline, but the process itself is very simple—in practice, it looks identical to a standard settlement. The tax office will recognize the Foundation indicated in the correction and transfer the funds to it as if the information were included in the original declaration.
It is not mandatory, but specifying a specific purpose gives you more control over how the funds will be used. You can enter, for example, the name of the beneficiary, the number of the aid campaign, or the Foundation's program you want to support. This way, your help can go directly to where you care most, although if the field is left blank, the funds will still fully support the activities of the Cancer Fighters Foundation.
Yes. The key factor is where you pay your taxes, not where you live. If your income is taxable in Poland and you file a Polish PIT return, you have the same right to donate 1.5% as a person living in the country. You can also enter the Foundation's KRS number if you complete the entire settlement process online from abroad.
