Who can become a beneficiary of the Cancer Fighters Foundation?

Cancer Fighters is a foundation for young and adult warriors. It doesn't matter how old you are or what type of cancer you have. If you or someone close to you needs support in the fight against cancer, we are here for you. Below you can read how to register with the foundation and what forms of support our patients can count on.

How do we support Cancer Fighters patients?

The foundation provides access to free services and benefits that help sick people and their loved ones cope with their new situation. Each beneficiary receives comprehensive support regardless of age and health condition. Registering a child or adult with the foundation allows them to collect funds for their treatment and receive assistance from experts in the fields of treatment, rehabilitation, and psychological support.

The benefits of joining Cancer Fighters include:

  • Onko Assistant support – mental and organizational support for patients and their loved ones,
  • own subaccount – an account where payments from the transfer of 1.5% of tax and donations are collected,
  • fundraising for cancer patients – assistance in organizing and promoting fundraising for treatment, overseeing its accounting and transparency,
  • social assistance – financial assistance granted upon request, in the amount of PLN 2,000, which can be used for the daily needs of the sick person and/or their family,
  • psychological support – support groups for cancer patients and their loved ones,
  • cooperation with Friends of the Foundation – registering a child or adult with the foundation is an opportunity to support athletes and influencers in promoting fundraisers and aid campaigns for the sick,
  • aid campaigns for cancer patients – through our foundation, the patient's loved ones can promote aid campaigns – sporting challenges and other events during which funds for treatment will be collected.

How to become a beneficiary of the Cancer Fighters Foundation?

Not sure how to apply to the foundation? You can do it online, without leaving your home! You are just 4 steps away from joining the Fighters group.

  1. Fill out the application form

There is an application form on the foundation's website. Fill in your personal details and describe your health situation. How to register a child with the foundation? If you are a parent or legal guardian of a child with cancer, you can fill out the application form on their behalf.

  1. Attach medical documentation

To speed up the verification process, please attach the necessary medical documentation to your application. Send us scans or copies of test results, diagnoses, descriptions of proposed treatment, and previous therapy.

  1. Verification of the application and signing of the cooperation agreement

We will review your application and contact you as soon as possible. Once your application has been approved, we will sign a cooperation agreement. The agreement will contain information and rules regarding the assistance provided by the foundation, managing a sub-account, setting up fundraisers, and disbursing funds for medical treatment.

  1. Subaccount activation

Right after signing the cooperation agreement, we will activate your individual sub-account, where funds from the 1.5% tax transfer and donations will be collected. We will help you organize and promote fundraisers, and your Onko Assistant will provide you with the necessary information support.

Who can become a beneficiary of the Cancer Fighters Foundation?

Anyone suffering from cancer can become a ward of the Cancer Fighters Foundation, regardless of the stage of the disease, their health condition, or age.

How to enroll your child in the foundation?

The application to enroll a child in the foundation is submitted by their parent or legal guardian. Don't forget to attach the child's medical records to the form!

How to enroll an adult in the foundation?

Encourage them to fill out the application form themselves. If the patient is unable to do so, a family member or other close person can do it for them, providing their contact details in the application.

Do I have to sign a cooperation agreement with the foundation?

Yes, signing a cooperation agreement is one of the steps to joining the foundation. It allows us to define the rules for maintaining a sub-account, collecting donations, and withdrawing funds from the account.

What are the benefits of joining the foundation?

The beneficiaries of the Cancer Fighters Foundation receive the necessary informational, organizational, psychological, and financial assistance. Every cancer patient receives support from an Onko Assistant. As a foundation, we help organize, promote, and settle fundraisers. We also provide psychological support for the patient's family.

Does the foundation provide social assistance?

Yes, those under the care of the Cancer Fighters Foundation can apply for social assistance of up to PLN 2,000 per month. These funds are intended to cover the daily needs and expenses of the patient and their family.

How can I use the funds raised for treatment?

Funds from the sub-account are disbursed in the form of a refund after submitting an application, to which receipts and invoices related to the patient's treatment/rehabilitation must be attached.
