The year 2024 was to be a landmark year for me. I turned 17, and with this event came plans, dreams and high hopes for the future.

My passion for travel has become even more important - I'm studying tourism at a technical school, and every trip is a new adventure and experience for me.

I started the year ambitiously - in January I went skiing in the Czech Republic. I had other countries planned: Denmark, Georgia, Slovakia and Austria.

The first few months went perfectly. I even managed to start an internship at a travel agency - a place where I had always dreamed of working. My colleagues and I had plenty of plans for our coming of age. Unfortunately, at the end of February I started to feel worse and worse. Headaches, fever and general weakness meant that I barely made it to the doctor. The blood test results changed everything - I heard the diagnosis: acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

It was like a blow. All my dreams and plans were in ruins. On March 1, I started chemotherapy. My hair fell out, my muscles atrophied, my face swelled up. It was hard to accept at first, but I quickly realized that the most important thing now is to fight - and this fight has been going on for almost a year. I'm in the final stages of the hardest treatment and I'm looking forward to the future.

Today I feel stronger than ever before. My greatest motivation is the dream that always gives me strength: going to Liverpool's Anfield Stadium to see my beloved team. I believe I will beat the disease and return to a happy life - a life full of passion, travel and pursuing youthful dreams. The hospital will not be the definition of my youth - it is just a stop on the road to a better tomorrow.

We are raising funds for the treatment of children facing cancer.

Each ORLEN Superleague and ORLEN Women's Superleague club is joined by special players - wards of the Cancer Fighters Foundation. For each of them, we create a dedicated piggy bank so that fans and supporters can donate and directly support the children associated with their favorite club.

The first edition of the campaign showed the great power of the sports community - together we managed to raise as much as 161 thousand zlotys, which went to the treatment and support of little warriors! Now we are stepping up again to help more children in their most important match.
