Explore the history of

The energetic and joyful girl was taken to the ED in critical condition, and three days later doctors gave a devastating diagnosis - acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

The disease attacked suddenly and developed rapidly. In late April, during a dance lesson, Dorothy tore a muscle. Standard blood tests showed a slight decrease in hemoglobin, but doctors recommended only iron supplementation. A few weeks later, the girl's condition deteriorated drastically - she lost her orientation, was unable to form logical sentences, and did not recognize relatives or objects in the house. At the hospital, it turned out that her body was literally suffocating from the inside - her hemoglobin level had dropped to a critical level, and oxygen was not reaching her organs. Doctors said a quick response saved her life.

Dorotka underwent a blood transfusion and was then taken to the Hematology Clinic in Wroclaw, where intensive treatment was immediately started. She was scheduled for 2 years of chemotherapy, the side effects of which are already being felt - severe leg pain, weakness and extreme fatigue.

Currently, part of the treatment is being transferred to the home, which entails additional expenses. The girl requires specialized dressings for central insertion, medications, supplements and hygiene products to support her body in fighting the disease. She also faces rehabilitation in the future to help her regain full mobility.

Every day is a new challenge, and Dorothy's family is doing everything possible to provide her with the best possible care. The cost of treatment can reach up to 100,000 zlotys, which is far beyond their financial capabilities. The upcoming Christmas is a time of uncertainty for them - they don't know whether Dorotka will be able to spend this special time at home, or whether she will once again come to welcome the New Year within hospital walls.

Let's help Dorothea and her family in this uneven fight! Every donation is a step closer to health and hope for a return to a normal childhood.

We are raising funds for the treatment of children facing cancer.

Each ORLEN Superleague and ORLEN Women's Superleague club is joined by special players - wards of the Cancer Fighters Foundation. For each of them, we create a dedicated piggy bank so that fans and supporters can donate and directly support the children associated with their favorite club.

The first edition of the campaign showed the great power of the sports community - together we managed to raise as much as 161 thousand zlotys, which went to the treatment and support of little warriors! Now we are stepping up again to help more children in their most important match.
