For someone who takes a much more difficult route every day.
Two friends Marcin and Arkadiusz are biking from Poland to Croatia, and dedicating their trip to Damian, a 17-year-old who is still battling cancer and dreams of returning to fitness with a modern prosthesis.
It was supposed to be simply a bicycle trip through Europe - two friends, bikes, destination: Croatia. But the idea to give this route a deeper meaning was quickly born. Thus was born the initiative to dedicate every kilometer to someone who is fighting a much more difficult battle today.
Every journey begins with the first step. And every struggle - with support.
That someone is Damian Baszynski - a 17-year-old boy who is struggling with an acute form of osteosarcoma. He has undergone difficult treatment, hand amputation and major lung surgery. Now he faces further therapy, specialized prosthetics and intensive rehabilitation, which will allow him to regain his independence and a dignified life.
That's why we're going. For him.
