Meet challenge
It’s not just a challenge. It’s a mission
On August 18, Kacper Krasiński, Kuba Palczyński, and I will attempt to swim across Lake Geneva from Switzerland to France. This isn’t just another athletic goal. It’s one of the biggest challenges we’ve ever taken on.
We’re about to cross the largest lake in Western Europe. The route runs from Lausanne, Switzerland, to Évian-les-Bains, France. It’s about 13 km as the crow flies—but in practice, the distance, conditions, water temperature, and prolonged exertion make this a challenge that requires full physical and mental preparation. According to available information, only one Pole has accomplished this so far.
But we knew one thing from the start: this effort had to mean more. That’s why we combined this challenge with tangible support for Livia.
Who are we sailing for?
We’re sailing for Livia Rybitwa—a five-year-old girl who, on her birthday, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Four days later, she underwent surgery. Today, she is battling medulloblastoma, a rare and highly aggressive form of childhood brain cancer. This battle involves not only treatment but also a tremendous burden on the entire family—emotional, logistical, and financial.
This story is also close to our hearts for personal reasons. Livia is connected to the MKS Dziewiątka Dzierżoniów community—a club that had a huge impact on Kacper’s athletic and personal journey. That’s why it was clear to us from the start that if this project was going to provide help, it had to be real, tangible, and meaningful.

We keep going because she fights every day
We’re taking on a sporting challenge. Every day, Livia faces a challenge far greater than ours. That’s why we want every meter we swim to mean more than just a number. We want it to be an expression of support, presence, and hope. We’re not swimming just to reach the other side. We’re swimming to turn our athletic effort into real help.
Every kilometer brings hope
The goal of this initiative is not just to swim across Lake Geneva. It is also to raise funds for Livia’s medical treatment, rehabilitation, transportation, specialized care, and daily support, as well as for her family. That is exactly what this fundraiser is for.
We also want to spread the word about this story as widely as possible. Because sometimes a single donation can make a financial difference. And a single share can help reach more people. Every donation counts. Every share counts. Every gesture of support counts.
Because this story isn't just about sports. It's about turning it into something that really matters.
