Monika has left.
Her journey was difficult and full of suffering. Until the very end, she moved forward with a quiet hope that fate would allow this story to end differently. This hope accompanied her until her last moments, although the ending turned out to be too cruel. We thank everyone who was close to her. For the kindness that flowed without fanfare. For the words that brought comfort. For the presence that did not ask if it still made sense. Today, our thoughts are with her loved ones. With her family, who were left with silence after her passing and pain that needs no words. May the memory of Monika live on peacefully in the hearts of those who became part of her journey for a moment. We remember. January 30, 2026

Initial results gave hope for a cure.

She began therapy including radiation therapy and preoperative chemotherapy, but tests before surgery showed disease progression in the lymph nodes.

In October 2023, she underwent an operation lasting many hours, during which the tumor was removed along with part of her esophagus and stomach. Unfortunately, during the surgery, doctors noticed lesions on the pleura. Histopathological results confirmed the involvement of numerous lymph nodes and the presence of pleural metastases. As a result, Monica was offered palliative chemotherapy.

Despite her difficult situation, Monica is not giving up. Thanks to the support of her family, friends, acquaintances and superiors, who appreciate her many years of dedication to her work as a midwife, she tries to lead as normal a life as possible. Her work gives her a sense of strength and stability, so she has decided to continue it as long as possible.

He currently commutes once a week for chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy. She tries to support her body with supplements and rehabilitation. Unfortunately, the cost of commuting to the hospital and additional treatments to support her treatment is beyond her family's financial means. Faced with these challenges, Monika is asking for help to continue her fight against the disease and maintain a sense of normalcy in her daily life.
