It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Kinga....
She passed away too soon, leaving behind a trail of kindness, courage and extraordinary strength. She was part of our Foundation. We watched her fight with courage and gentleness at the same time. Today our thoughts are with her family and loved ones, joining in sorrow and gratitude for her presence. Her strength, smile and quiet determination, which gave hope even when it was most difficult, will remain in our memory. October 31, 2025Research and new outbreak
The last time we stopped was when Kinga was awaiting imaging studies. An MRI and PET scan performed in late May and early June showed further regression of the lesions.Unfortunately, a new outbreak appeared in the bone of his left hand, which required radiation.
Change of treatment
At the same time, the body was increasingly unable to tolerate the intensive chemotherapy administered for more than a year. So doctors decided to change the therapy - today Kinga is receiving oral chemotherapy, and regular visits to the hospital allow to control the progress. In a few months, another imaging study will show whether the new regimen is having the desired effect.Difficult months
The past few months have been extremely difficult. Fatigue, prolonged therapy and uncertainty about the future have become a burden not only physically, but also mentally. Despite this, Kinga continues to fight, taking on the next stages of treatment with the same determination that has been with her since the beginning of her journey. September 26, 2025

Diagnosis and dramatic beginning of the fight
Kinga reported to her gynecologist concerned about symptoms that, although seemingly trivial, nevertheless did not give her peace of mind. The tests performed revealed the presence of tumors on her ovaries. A quick diagnosis forced the decision for immediate surgery. This was to be a rescue and at the same time a last chance to stop the disease.
Unfortunately, during the operation it was found that the cancerous lesions had taken over the entire abdominal cavity. The histopathology result, which came after a few days, clearly indicated the presence of an aggressive form of cancer called: soft tissue sarcoma, which had managed to metastasize to the lungs.
Chemotherapy that torments the body
In June 2024, Kinga began intensive oncology treatment. The first months were extremely tough. The devastating chemotherapy brought strong side effects in the form of weakness, nausea, hair loss and weight loss. Kinga's daily life has become a struggle in itself, but the will to live is so great in Kinga that nothing can stop it.
More research - next steps in treatment
Kinga has more imaging tests ahead, which will show how the body has responded to the treatment so far and how to plan further therapy. The prospect of overcoming the disease and regaining her health is still distant, but Kinga takes on the daily challenges every day and with great determination.
