Zuzia continues her fight for recovery! She is not giving up and is very bravely going through the next stages of treatment, despite the difficulties along the way. Currently, our Warrior Girl no longer needs to receive intravenous chemotherapy! She recently entered the last stage of treatment - maintenance. She is now only taking chemotherapy in tablets and could finally return home. September 18, 2024
Zuzia is still undergoing chemotherapy, which is slowly coming to an end. After that - for about a year and a half - our Warrior will receive maintenance chemotherapy in the form of pills. There have been tougher moments during treatment, such as pneumonia, but Susie has bravely coped with them! The funds raised through the fundraiser will be needed to cover the cost of ongoing treatment, travel to the hospital and rehabilitation, which is very important in returning to as much fitness as possible. In July 2023, she began complaining of back pain, which worsened every day and made Susie increasingly lethargic.

In late July, when the pain became so severe that it made walking impossible, the parents decided to go to the ED.

Blood tests were conducted, and the results were very alarming. The seven-year-old was referred to a clinic in Szczecin, where further tests were performed, which gave a devastating diagnosis - B-type acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Such information came as a shock to the parents, who could not believe what they heard from the doctors....

Immediately treatment was started, the girl was given chemotherapy, and now she has a long treatment process ahead of her. Zuzia, despite her young age, is aware of what kind of opponent she has to face and very bravely endures the hardships of treatment.

The funds raised at the fundraiser will be used to cover the cost of ongoing treatment, hospital travel, proper diet and supplementation, and subsequent rehabilitation.

We encourage you to support this brave Warrior! Every donation, even the smallest, is important, improves the comfort of our Heroine's treatment and can help her return to normal functioning among her peers!
