Update
There are moments when words become exceptionally difficult. This news is one of them.
Stella has passed away...
Today, all that remains is silence, which carries with it a great longing.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who was there for Stella during this journey. Each and every one of your gestures of support was a sign of presence and kindness that reached her family in the most difficult moments.
We extend our deepest condolences to Stella's family. March 9, 2026When the disease returns, hope must learn patience.
Until a short while ago, Stella felt well enough to go home. She was already coming to the Cape of Hope only on the day ward to receive a short, ten-minute chemo treatment. Doctors also decided that control weekly ultrasounds could be performed less frequently. It seemed that the disease was finally starting to subside.Cancer has attacked again
During a routine inspection, tests yielded alarming results. Stella became resistant to the chemotherapy so far, and the cancer returned with tremendous force. It attacked her abdomen and lungs, filling them with numerous lesions. Fluid accumulates in the abdominal cavity, causing Stella to gain weight in a short period of time - sometimes as much as two kilograms in one day.A new phase of uncertainty
Doctors are now considering the next stages of treatment that could stop the progression of the disease. This is a time of difficult decisions, anxiety and waiting for new hope. October 6, 2025Difficult days behind Stella - effects of radiation therapy and new anxieties
Stella underwent intensive radiation therapy between June 9 and 27. The treatment was very taxing - the girl vomited, had persistent diarrhea and almost no appetite. Despite her extreme weakness, she bravely endured all the scheduled radiation treatments.![]()
Wilms' tumor with metastasis ❗
Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis - Wilms' tumor with metastasis to the lymph nodes. This means that the fight against the disease is even more difficult and complex than initially thought. Ahead of Stella are more cycles of chemotherapy, check-ups and constant vigilance by doctors. An ordinary evening and a terrifying discovery
During her daily evening routine - bathing, dressing and massaging - Stella's mother felt a hard resistance under her daughter's skin. Something that hadn't existed in consciousness an hour earlier suddenly became everything.
Without delaying a moment, she went to the hospital in Krapkowice. From there, after an initial evaluation, they were immediately referred to Opole. The ultrasound image showed something that was difficult to grasp with thought. A tumor 13 centimeters in diameter was filling almost the entire abdominal cavity of the child.

In an instant, the world stood on its head
A cancerous tumor in such a young body is not only a diagnostic drama, but also a huge therapeutic challenge. Every day means new tests, decisions and great uncertainty, because the treatment to work must be precise, immediate and safe.
And in all of this, Stella - a little girl who misses her older sister and the evening quiet....

Aid that gives more than medical support
The family needs help - for travel to specialized centers, further diagnostics, treatment, nursing supplies and support in daily functioning. These are not extra costs, they are essential parts of the fight for Stella's health and life.
