Kasper Nowak is a man who has always been full of energy, eager to help others and passionate about DIY. Today, however, his daily life is filled with fighting an illness that turned his entire life upside down overnight.
The beginning of a difficult road
Problems with swallowing and sore throat initially seemed harmless. Over time, however, the symptoms worsened, and tests left no illusions - the diagnosis was esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. For Kasper and his family, it was a shock, accompanied by great fear for the future.
Fighting for each day
In Poznan, Kasper underwent a procedure during which doctors inserted a 17 cm long metal covered stent to allow him to swallow and take in food. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy, which is the main part of the treatment. Despite his tremendous determination, Kasper's body must contend with numerous complications, including degenerative changes in his spine, which make it difficult for him to move and function on a daily basis. Swallowing remains the biggest challenge - each bite or sip requires strength and courage that is difficult to talk about without emotion.
The disease that changed everything
Kasper is currently at home, where, under the care of his family, he is trying to survive the next stages of treatment. The disease has deprived him of the opportunity to work, and thus of his livelihood. Every day is a struggle not only for his health, but also to maintain his dignity and calm in a difficult reality. Kasper's siblings are still struggling to come to terms with the diagnosis - they accompany him on this journey, full of fear, but also hope that together they will be able to overcome the disease.
Need for support
The funds raised will be used for food and cleaning supplies, which are essential for daily life and recovery during treatment. Despite his suffering, Kasper does not lose faith. In moments of feeling better, he returns to his passion - DIY, which allows him to forget about the disease, at least for a moment. Let's help him regain his strength, health and hope. Every gesture of support is proof for Kasper that he is not alone in this struggle.
