Update
It is with unimaginable pain that we convey the news of Beata's passing.
Her path was marked by a constant struggle, successive diagnoses and treatments that brought hope and then took it away. All the efforts of doctors and the attempts made to stop the disease failed to reverse what came with painful inevitability - too soon.... At this extremely difficult moment, we join Beata's Family in pain and mourning, with deep sympathy and respect for her life and for the love she left in the hearts of her loved ones. November 27, 2025Disease progression
The first line of treatment, which Beata began in June, initially offered hope. Unfortunately at some point it stopped working and disease progression appeared. The joy of improved well-being was very short-lived making the everyday life has become very difficult again.Another attempt
Beata is currently taking so-called "red chemo." Monitoring whether the body is responding to the new treatment is ongoing. He has already experienced neutropenic fever, which required hospitalization, blood transfusions and antibiotic treatment. This additional burden means that an assessment of the effectiveness of the therapy has yet to be made.Hope despite weakness
Beata's strength is very limited. For the past month, she has spent most of her time in bed. Each day is fraught with fatigue and weakness. Nevertheless, she still has faith that better, calmer and less painful days will come. October 1, 2025We are increasing the collection amount
The funds raised have been used in full for the stages of therapy carried out so far. Currently, Beata has started treatment at the University Hospital in Krakow. After many difficult months, she has been under the care of a team of doctors, who have proposed the next stage of therapy and offer hope for the continued fight against the disease.Unfortunately, the treatment comes at a high cost. It is more than 400 kilometers one way from where Beata lives to Krakow. After each infusion, it is necessary to stay there for several days, as her health condition does not allow her to return home immediately. The costs of commuting, lodging and daily living are steadily increasing and becoming a financial challenge. Beata remains in therapy, which, although difficult, offers a chance for further treatment. Please continue to help Beata in this uneven fight. June 13, 2025
Recurrence of disease and diagnosis of metastasis
The therapy was coming to an end. Beata was very close to finishing her treatment. During a routine follow-up visit, doctors ordered the determination of tumor markers. The results indicated a significant increase in them. Due to increasing back pain, a CT scan was ordered, which clearly confirmed the recurrence of the disease. The cancer had given metastasis to the lumbar spine, lungs, pelvis and lymph nodes.Fighting from the start
It was immediately decided to resume chemotherapy to stop the development of lesions and relieve pain. At the same time, the dose of hormone therapy was increased to strengthen the effect of the treatment that had begun. Beata stood up to fight again, and although she knows very well what each stage of therapy entails - she is not giving up. November 17, 2024
Beata continues treatment
Beata has completed an intensive phase of treatment and has begun maintenance therapy. Each month she returns for follow-up examinations and receipt of oral chemotherapy. In parallel, she is taking hormonal medication, which will remain part of the therapy for the next five years. Although the treatment is going according to plan, fatigue and side effects still accompany daily life. Each new month of therapy presents new challenges and further costs. We would like to thank you for all your help so far, which has made it possible to fund treatment, rehabilitation and commuting. September 24, 2024

That day began a struggle that continues to this day
In June 2023, Beata heard the diagnosis: malignant breast cancer. Genetic testing further confirmed the presence of the BRCA1 mutation, which significantly increases the risk of further cancers, including breast and ovarian.
Necessity, not choice
Beata underwent surgery to remove both breasts and ovaries. The BRCA1 mutation means a significantly increased risk of further cancers This was not a chance to avoid treatment, but a necessity to stop the disease from progressing and give herself a chance to live.
Rehabilitation and recovery
After the operation, a long rehabilitation began. Beata has been painting and drawing for years, so the dexterity of her hands is not only a daily function for her, but also an opportunity to continue her passion, which allows her to face the emotions accompanying the disease.
Maintenance treatment and daily fatigue
After the most difficult stage of treatment, Beata switched to maintenance therapy, which means daily oral chemotherapy, hormonal drugs and regular check-ups at the hospital. The therapy was scheduled for several more years. The side effects of the treatment, fatigue and limitations associated with the therapy continue to make their presence known. Beata consistently follows the doctors' recommendations, believing that each new day brings her closer to the coveted end of treatment and a return to normalcy.
