The moment of diagnosis
At the end of May, I received the diagnosis for my 3-year-old daughter Diana: acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
That moment froze time. Just a moment earlier, our lives had been filled with ordinary, everyday matters, and then came the words I wasn’t ready for.
Fear, disbelief, and helplessness mingled with a thousand questions: Why her? How will we cope with what lies ahead? From that day on, every step became a fight for Diana’s health.
Treatment
We are currently at the Clinic of Pediatrics, Hematology, Oncology, and Immunology, where Diana is bravely fighting her illness. White walls, long hallways, and hospital rooms have become our everyday reality. It is a place where our old life came to a halt and a completely new, unknown one began.
Every day brings more tests and chemotherapy, which gives us hope for a full recovery. Looking at my little girl, it’s hard to believe that such a small child has to face such a huge challenge.
Sisters
At home, her two sisters are waiting for her and miss her dearly. Every day, they think of Diana and look forward to the moment when they’ll be together again. This longing is quiet, but it’s present in our daily lives: in our conversations, in our photos, and in our small gestures.
Fun and carefree
Before her illness, Diana was a child full of energy. Her days were filled with laughter, movement, and curiosity about the world. She loved to dance, often twirling to the rhythm of the music as if the whole world were one big melody. She also eagerly sat down to draw, creating colorful pictures that were always full of sunshine and joy. The playground also brought her a lot of joy: swings, slides, and playing with other children were her daily source of happiness.
Today, her daily life looks very different. Her illness has robbed her of her carefree spirit and freedom, turning ordinary childhood moments into a difficult struggle for health and mobility. Every day is a challenge that requires strength, patience, and support.
Request for support
I am reaching out with a heartfelt plea for help. Every contribution counts and brings Diana one step closer to a better tomorrow. The funds raised will be used for medication, necessary transportation, and rehabilitation.
Thank you very much for your help!
