Symptoms of the disease
In early March, our son Antoś started complaining more and more often that his stomach hurt. On top of that, he started having nosebleeds. As parents, we sensed that something was wrong.
The doctor ordered some tests. Then more. Every day brought more questions than answers. We lived from one appointment to the next, trying to drown out our growing anxiety. Finally, the decision was made to perform a biopsy.
Diagnosis
A few days later, we received a diagnosis that changed our lives forever: stage IV neuroblastoma.
Three words that robbed us of our peace of mind and sense of security. It turned out that the cancer had already metastasized to the lymph nodes in the abdominal cavity and to the bone marrow in the left hip bone.
Complications and follow-up care
Today, Antoś is undergoing another round of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the treatment is associated with numerous complications, such as thrombocytopenia, which is why he is constantly monitored and undergoes regular tests.

Although we have already been through many difficult moments, Antos still has more stages of his battle with the disease ahead of him. Among other things, the doctors have scheduled: the collection of stem cells for a transplant, surgery to remove an adrenal gland, and mega-chemotherapy.
Every day brings new challenges, but our little Warrior is bravely fighting to regain his health and reclaim the childhood that his illness so suddenly took away from him.
Everyday life of a family
Right now, I’m at the hospital with Antos, where we fight for his health every day. Dad is at work, and Grandma has been a huge help to us, taking care of his older siblings.
Antos's older sister, Zuzia, understands what her brother is going through and is very supportive of him. His brother Franio, on the other hand, took the news of Antek's illness very hard. There were many tears and a lot of sadness.
Small joys
When things calm down, Antoś finds the most joy in the things he loves. He gazes in awe at dinosaurs, watches soccer with curiosity, and listens intently to fairy tales, which allow him to escape the reality of the hospital, if only for a moment.
Request for help
Once Antoś has recovered, we hope to travel to Germany, where our son will be able to receive a specialized vaccine to prevent relapses.
The vaccine will give us hope for a more peaceful future and a better chance that the disease will never return. Unfortunately, the cost of such treatment far exceeds our financial means.
We sincerely ask for your support. Every donation brings Antos one step closer to good health, safety, and a childhood free from fear of the future.
